L'elisir d'amore (The Elixir of Love) is the most famous opera by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, first performed in 1832. The Wroclaw Opera company will be performing the melodramatic tale which tells the story of a peasant named Nemorino who attempts to gain the love of Adina using, you guessed it, a magic love potion.
