The Woman with No Shadow

Richard Strauss' opera Die Frau ohn Schatten (The Woman with No Shadow) will be return to the Wroclaw Opera this month. The piece is considered one of the Romantic composer's best and includes the libretto of his frequent collaborator Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The Woman with No Shadow is admittedly a little heavier than Strauss' more famous works such as Salome, as it contains a more complex and symbolic libretto than his other works. However, fans of Strauss and the Romantic era will certainly be satisfied with this collection of beautiful and complex compositions.
