Exhibition: Views

This exhbition will showcase the work of seven nominees for the 2009 edition of Spojrzenia (“Views”), one of Poland’s most prestigious art awards. After a stint at its origin, the Zacheta modern art museum in Warsaw, Views has arrived at the WRO Art Center until spring this year. The biannual competition celebrates acclaimed young artists in Poland, and this year the focus has seemed to have expanded from visual arts in general to media and video art as well. As for the competition, the winner was Wojciech Bakowski who went away with a hefty grand prize of 15 000 euro. Runner-up was Anna Molska and the audience prize went to Wojciech Doroszuk.
