Exhibition: Gion Matsuri - Japanese Festivals

Gion Matsuri is one of the biggest festivals of its kind in Japan, taking place annually in the city of Kyoto. The month-long fesitval culminates in a parade where locals in traditional dress walk down the streets of the city's centre alongside huge, meticulously decorated floats. Two young Wroclawians, Magdalena Slowik and Leszek Kobylanski, documented the festival in a series of photographs which will be on display at the Ethnographic Museum throughout the spring season.
