Tonights performance at the Wroclaw Philharmonic will be the closing concert of the Musical Fascinations series celebrating the new year. On the bill are two well-loved pieces, Sergei Prokofievs Symphony No.1 in D major, also known as the Classical Symphony, as well as Edward Elgars Cello Concerto. Soloist Jelena Ocic will tackle the Elgar with support from the Wroclaw Symphony Orchestra, led by Michal Klauza.
