The first of three Japanese-themed exhibitions scheduled by the National Museum for this year, this show focuses on metalwork from this Asian nation. Specifically exploring objects from the 19th century, Japanese Metalwork will display a wide variety of works including those with a practical use such as beautiful sake kettles and incense burners. Also on display are realistic sculptures of animals such as cranes and roosters.
