A leading figure in the Wroclaw art scene since 1945, Zdzislaw Jurkiewicz is finally receiving his first retrospective exhibition at the National Museum. As a painter, phogotrapher, and theorist, Jurkiewicz was a prolific artist and was also keenly interested in the sciences. After all, he built his first telescope at just 13 years old. Check out his paintings from the Aggressions and Invasions series, or his works influenced by Conceptualism or Geometric Abstraction. You can also pick up a book based on the exhibition at the Museum shop.
