German Painting from Classicism to Symbolism

It looks like spring will be an exciting time to visit WroclawÂ’s National Museum, with the opening of this fantastic new exhibition exploring the history of German painting from the mid-18th century through to the early 20th century. Over 100 paintings will be on display from such well known masters as Wassily Kandinsky, Ludwig Richer, Ferdinand von Rayski and Joseph Koch. Following the evolution of painting styles, the exhibition will display works chronologically from periods such as: Classicism, Romanticism, Biedermeier, Historicism, Realism, Impressionism, and Symbolism.
