Romani Art

The latest exhibition at Wroclaw's Etnographic Museum is devoted to Roma belonging to a group Bergitka. "Members of this group are often kept at arm's lenght due to their roots, but it is among them that there is the biggest number of educated people" wrote Adam Bartosz, the curator of the exhibition. Parents of Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, Bogumiła Delimata, and Krzysztof Gil have been hiding their background, whereas they themselves have made it a means of artistic expression and a source of inspiration.
