Christmas Fair
Wroclaw's Christmas Markets have a new location this year and a new spring in their step. Under the shadows of the mighty Hala Stulecia (Centennial or People's Hall), stalls and booths will be built ad hoc with traders hawking everything from exotic soaps and toiletries to wicker decorations, leather and woollen goods - and of course Christmas sweets, decorations and souvenirs. Those with an interest in wines and wine-making should make a bee-line for the La Luz kiosk, where owner Frederick Abrams will be exhibiting photos he took in 2004 of his travels in Spanish wine-making country. Also for sale will be some choice vintages that will make a welcome addition to your Christmas table! Accompanying the Christmas Fair as a whole will be an ice-rink, nativity scenes (with real animals from the neighbouring zoo!) and arguably Europe's largest Christmas tree... (see news)
