Family Festivities to Celebrate Wroclaw Dwarves
It only takes a few minutes to stumble across (sometimes quite literally) a mini statue of a dwarf, the most popular mythological creature in this part of Poland. The city is littered with hundreds of these statues, and more are constantly popping up.
This weekend the city of Wroclaw will celebrate the city's dwarves with the Second Dwarf Festival - an event particularly popular with families and children. On Friday 7 October, Wyspa Slodowa island will host a Dwarf Village with fun activities taking place in specially built huts. On Saturday, a bicycle rally on the Market Square will gather dwarf fans for an easy-going cycling trip around the city in beards and pointy hats. Let the fun begin!
