European Presidents Mark 200 Years of Wroclaw University

One of the highlights of the annual culture calendar in Wroclaw kicks off this month - Jazztopad Festival, which translates roughly to Jazz-November and takes place from 6 to 27 November.

Poland, and Wroclaw in particular, already has a stunning reputation for jazz music, and this month's festival is a testament to the country's love of this musical genre. Taking place throughout the month of November, Jazztopad's events take place in a variety of venues across the city including the Regional Centre for Business Tourism, Wroclaw's Music Academy, Puzzle Club, and of course the home of the festival's organizer - the Wroclaw Philharmonic Hall.

Some of this editions musical guests include: Sonny Rollins, Fred Hersch Trio, Bobo Stenson & Jon Fait, Dave Liebman & Richie Beirach, and Uri Caine, Ben Perowsky, and Lutoslawski Quartet.
