Euro 2012 Fan Zone Details and Concerts Announced
Further details of the Fan Zone for the upcoming Euro 2012 football championships, which will take place partly in Wroclaw, have been announced. The zone will be open on Plac Solny, part of Swidnicka Street, and part of the Market Square, and will be able to cater to 30 000 fans. Three large screens will be set up for fans to watch the games, and concerts will take place on off days.
The only ticketed event in the fan zone will be a concert from English musical icons Duran Duran, which will take place on 25 June (tickets are 89 to 149 zloty). Other non-ticketed concerts set to take place include performances from Czech-Polish vocalist Ewa Farna, as well as Polish artists such as Kasia Kowalska, Patrycja Markowska, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Natalia Lubrano (of Miloopa), Maryla Rodowicz, Ewa Bem, and Kombi.
The Wroclaw Euro 2012 Fan Zone will be open from 8 June to 1 July, from 3pm to midnight on weekdays and from noon to midnight on weekends.
