New Ticket Prices for Public Transport
If youll be looking to visit some of Wroclaws attractions outside of the strict city centre, its likely youll be checking out the citys public transportation. The MPK system is a reliable, cheap, and convenient option popular with locals and visitors alike, and with rising operational costs has followed an inevitable rise in ticket prices for travelers.
Starting 1 May 2012, single use tickets will rise in price from 2.40 PLN (approximately 0.55) to 3 PLN (approximately 0.70) - which we can all agree is still pretty cheap by European standards! Thirty minute time tickets will be 3PLN and 24-hour travel cards will soon be 11PLN (2.60). The rise is a big jump for locals, but unless youre visiting Wroclaw on a very tight budget, you will surely remain grateful that even the new prices are about 10 times cheaper than in somewhere like London. Not too bad!
