The Hall of the Four Domes to Be Renovated At Last

Built at the beginning of 1900's as an exhibition pavilion, the Hall of the Four Domes, has been dilapidating since WW II. Finally, after numerous appeals of the city of Wroclaw, the long awaited renovation of one of Wroclaw's landmarks, and an UNESCO heritage list item, is to start in April, owing to a 50 million contract from the European Regional Development Fund.
After renovation the Hall is to host the Museum of Contemporary Art, with an open-space sculpture park surrounding it. Apart from thorough renovation and restoration, the building's courtyard is to be roofed with a glass roof, which will allow the facility to gain an extra 3 000 sq m of space for exhibition purposes.
The first exhibition is to be opened at the beginning of 2016, when Wroclaw is to inaugurate its status as the European Culture Capital.
