Croatian dad calls son 'stupidest' burglar in Switzerland

A Croatian dad has called his son one of the stupidest burglars in Switzerland after the lad and two friends were caught on a cooking and drinking spree in a kebab shop.

Police were called in the town of Hochdorf, central Switzerland, when neighbours heard strange goings on in a kebab shop, shortly after dawn.

According to reports, the trio had initially broken into the shop which is owned by a Croat - to steal beer and cigarettes.

The operation was a success, with the robbers managing to trick their way in by climbing through an air-conditioning vent.

However, later in the evening, feeling peckish, the three men decided to head back for second helpings.

Attempts to set the grill in motion were unsuccessful, and the group resorted to cooking the meat on a microwave. However, the intruders did managed to make the most of the vodka supply.

Owing to the raucous merriment, neighbours called the police and the three men are now in custody.

The father insisted that his son was actually a good boy, but easily led.
