Editor's review
Distinguished British conductor Simon Rattle described Karol Szymanowski as one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. Born in today's Ukraine, Szymanowski eventually settled in Zakopane where he was inspired to create some of his best works. A friend of the artist Witkacy, he moved into the Villa Atma in 1930. The house was opened as a museum in 1976 and the interior recreates the spirit of the place as it was in the composer's times. In 2013 it was reopened after a thorough renovation, and since then Atma has been a genuine local hub for music and other arts.

Uważam, ze sobie jaja robicie. Na najwyższym poziomie to badziewie????? Jaka kultura na najwyższym poziomie. Występują sami studenci, repertuar kiepski, w samym muzeum nic nie ma. Pusto!!!! To jest na najwyższym poziomie???? żenada.
What a amazing place, great concerts of Szymanowski music, house with real soul, must see while in Zakopane
Szymanowski is my favourite composer in all the world. I hope to be able to visit here one day....
