If you're looking for a one-stop shop that can organise an assortment of events in the region, Altius Travel is worth your consideration. They offer a wide range of activities, with proficient English-speaking guides. Amongst the one day excursions on offer are tours of the heritage of Zakopane and surrounding villages - including breathtaking views from the mountains themselves. Also available is the Dunajec River Rafting tour, and on the way you'll be shown the medieval castle of Niedzica and some UNESCO listed wooden churches. Further afield there are trips to the famed Wieliczka salt mines and the former concentration camps of Auschwitz. See the link for more info.

Are you able to give advice about travel from zakopane to high tatra ski resorts in slovakia. we do not know if bus or train will be running 1/1/15. what can you suggest? thank you for your help
