Sledging

Can you hire sledges in Zakopane? Also are you allowed to take sledges on the cable car or on the funicular railway because someone in Zakopane told us that you were not allowed to sledge on any slopes? Also, is it possible to book tickets for the funicular railway in advance? If so, where do we do it? I gather it gets quite busy in the mornings. Any help would be great. Thanks.
