Whatever the weather...
Take a peek at the mountain weather before you set out to explore the lakes of the Tatra mountains thanks to a new webcam that has been installed for tourists. The webcam is operated by Tatra Volunteer Ambulance Service. It brings the total number of live cams in operation up to three, with more to follow. Images refresh automatically every 30 seconds, so walkers, climbers and winter sports enthusiasts can be sure of the most up to date information. In addition, the ambulance service offers online information about key weather conditions such as wind direction and speed. The service hopes that the webcams and website information will help visitors to the Tatra mountains to make informed decisions about their journeys and the equipment they will need thus reducing the number of accidents in the area and ultimately saving lives. Visit www.topr.pl to view the cameras.
