Tatra Summer Savings
The summer edition of the Tatra Card offering discounts on many of the mountain regions tourist attractions has now been launched.
The card is available free to tourists, when they stay at hotels and guest houses participating in the scheme. It comes with a guidebook, listing all the sites which offer discounts. These include the thermal pools in Zakopane, as well as money off meals at some of the regions best restaurants. In addition, cardholders can visit a branch of the Tatra Museum for free. There are offers for children, such as water slides and some bike hire outlets.
Since its launch in December 2010, some 200,000 tourists have taken advantage of the discounts offered by the Tatra Card. The summer edition will be valid until October this year.
Wojciech Argasiński, who introduced the card, said it was an opportunity for visitors to see the best of the Tatra region.
Speaking to the newspaper Gazeta Krakowska, he said: "This is the fourth edition of the discount care, offered each season by the Highlanders to all of the guests who come to stay in the Tatras.
