Zakopane surprised both tourists and locals with STRH, an otherworldly spot on its map. Finally, among old-style taverns there is a modern place, which follows its own path. STRH is tucked away on the third floor of a wooden building, right in the centre of Krupówki, the most popular street in Zakopane. It’s a venue with a marvellous view of the rows of colourful stalls and hundreds of passers-by. STRH’s interior brings to mind cafés in the centres of big cities, but in this ambience it looks unusual, and really impressive. A quick glance at the menu turned out to be equally surprising. Beetroot hummus and creamy pumpkin soup with a hint of orange and vanilla sound so innovating in comparison with pork knuckles offered by the neighbours. What’s worth noting, STRH cooperates with small local brands in organising exhibitions, fashion events and workshops. Last but not least, coffee! Take a sip, and forget the whole world.
