Editor's review
For over a hundred years, Zakopane belonged to the Austrian province of Galicia. In the last forty years the Poles were free to run their own show, and 'Vienna Cafes ' (Wiedenska means Viennese) popped up across the province. It's a little known fact but the Polish love of cakes surpasses that of the Austrians, and here you can sample a few in a supremely stylish atmosphere. This swish cafe echoes the art deco style, which had an especially rich flowering in Poland. It's delightful place to while away a couple of hours., and their hot chocolate is bound to hit the spot after an afternoon out in the snow.
