Forget your girth and just dig in! Samanta pastry shop is somewhat a Zakopane institution, as it has been around since the city's founding fathers started flocking to the then a forsaken, yet charming mountain village. Within years it has grown into a chain of pastries, but still manages to keep the noble traditions of the past. Though some guests find the interior tacky, the swarms of people on Sunday afternoons prove Samanta's quality: the cakes, cookies, torts and all types of pastry and desserts imaginable come in reasonable prices and are always freshly made, and coffee and tea brands belong to the best in Zakopane. And there is ice cream, too! Irresistible.
