Even if you’re not much of a hiker, the outstanding location of Karczma u Klimka is enough reason to visit the place. The wooden building sits on the very top of Mount Gubałówka, the most popular tourist destination in Zakopane. This typical mountain tavern will take you back in time, where wine, music, food and joy ruled! For over fifteen years now, Karczma u Klimka has been cultivating the tradition by serving classic dishes made of local, fresh products. The food is simple and surely not for dieters, unless you assume that all the calories will be burned hiking in the Tatras. After all, the mouth-watering Polish-style pork knuckle accompanied by sauerkraut and potatoes is a must when visit Zakopane. An one cool thing about Karczma u Klimka is that it is accessible by the cable car. It’s fun and you don’t have to worry about driving, especially in a place where mulled wine and beer are abundant.
